Are You Digital Ready?

Don't have a digital TV or set top box? by 2012 The Government will have phased out analogue TV signals so unless you have a digital TV or set top box you won't recieve a signal, therefore no channels!

You don't need to rush out and buy an expensive TV, get yourself a set top box which will also give you free extra digital channels! There are a wide range of set top boxes to choose from, some can record, rewind and pause live TV and more, so they're also great for those of you with digital TVs.

Avra and I would like to sincerely thank you for the excellent service your company gave us while installing our new home theatre system and flat screen television including the roof aerial. We were really impressed with the way you sent somebody round the same day we called you to look at the job and he stayed into the evening to get the speaker wires installed because we needed it done urgently to fit in with the electrician and cabinetry installation. Even through the conduit in the wall was too narrow, he kept going with a good sense of humour until he had all the wires passed into the ceiling. This was a big help to us. Your tech came a few days later as arranged to install the aerial on the second storey roof and had it finished with strong reception much quicker than we expected. When the TV and theatre equipment arrived you came immediately and set everything up working fantastically and showed the family how to work all the components in the system. Again, with good humour and a very professional manner. Later, when we needed your help with a TV connection problem under the TV manufacturer’s warranty, you again sent a tech without hesitation and coordinated with the retailer to quickly sort out the problem. Our experiences with many trades people over the last couple of years have not been pleasant. Our experience with your service and professionalism however has been the complete opposite and we would highly recommend your firm to any potential customer. We recently had our whole house done by TV Connect Plus; we had a cinema room installed, 3 TVs mounted on the wall, speakers installed in the ceiling and outside and our Bose system set up. It was a big job and TV Connect Plus were great . They even helped us with advice and purchased the new equipment for us. As we were building our house it was fantastic to have TV Connect Plus help at all stages of building to make sure we got our wiring correct for our system. They were so good; professional and prompt at being on site to work with electricans and builders, so that our plans for all our audiovisual needs were met. I highly recommend them, particularly if like me it was too hard to negotiate all that is needed to get a whole house wired for sound - upstairs, downstairs, outside and the movie room - they made it easy, they were great! Thanks for everything.

Frequently Asked Questions

We have all the components for our TV in the lounge room, (DVD, Set Top Box & Pay TV) and would like to have all this in our rumpus room but don’t want the expense of buying it all and would like to monitor what is being watched. What are our options?

We can install HDMI (Multi Room distribution) which is a matrix switcher and will enable other rooms to watch what equipment you have in the main room although you can only watch the same DVD or Free to air channel as the main room, but if the main room is watching a DVD and the rumpus room would like to watch a free to air/pay TV channel that is possible. But if the main room was watching Free to air and the rumpus room wanted to watch Free to air, they can only watch the same Channel. Can I have music playing outside but not in the house?

Yes, with the right amplifier, you can have music coming out of various locations within your home as long as you have speakers outside and the right equipment

I would like to have my TV on the wall but don’t want the cables to show and my wall is made of concrete, is there anything I can do?

Yes, we supply cable management kits which fit over your cables and can be painted to match your wall colour. They come in 1.2m lengths and in two width sizes. We can also chase a gulley down the concrete to the power socket and place the cables inside and re-plaster the area, but it causes dust and you will need to redecorate the area, but if this is what you want, it’s a clean finish.

I would like help with my equipment, I’m not sure what sockets on the TV to plug my DVD player and game console into, can you help?

Yes, we do a 'help me' call out and can sort this out for you.

I would like to get the new free channels but don’t have a flat screen digital TV, how can I do this?

You will need to purchase a digital set top box. The government are phasing analogue TV out by 2012 so if you don’t have a digital set top box by then you will not get any channels.

I have changed my cable to component on my set top box and now I don’t have a picture?

You need to change the output from PAL to YUV.

I have already installed my TV and equipment but the picture isn’t very clear, what could this be?

It could be your antenna signal which will need to be tested.
